Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence (STRIDE) Workshop

This workshop is open to faculty and staff.

The Medical School STRIDE Committee provides information and advice about practices that will maximize the likelihood that diverse, well-qualified candidates for faculty, fellowship and residency positions will be identified, and, if selected for offers, recruited to the University of Michigan. The committee leads workshops for faculty and administrators involved in selection, recruitment and hiring. Much of the information is also relevant to retention and promotion of these individuals as well.

STRIDE Training:

  • Has involved dozens of senior faculty members from across campus

  • A decade of reading the research and thinking about its application to faculty searches

  • Michigan-specific best practices and successful approaches to effective searching

Please join us for this workshop that will assist those who wish to recruit and subsequently hire diverse, well-qualified candidates for faculty, fellowship and residency positions.

This program is a "video-on," interactive session that will include small group breakout sessions.
