Biomed Focus

BioMed Focus is a paid, full-time, 8-week summer research program for rising juniors and seniors in the greater Ann Arbor area to gain research experience by working in laboratories at the University of Michigan, Michigan Medicine. 

BioMed Focus Scholars train with a selected mentor to complete a hypothesis-driven independent research project. In addition to first-hand research experience, students complete a science communication course and a college preparatory course. At the end of the program, each Scholar writes a manuscript of their research project and presents a research talk for their family and friends during a symposium.
