The Rogel Cancer Center will fund up to three $50,000 scholarships for qualified, ascending fourth year medical students.
In keeping with Richard and Susan Rogel’s passion for supporting the next generation of physician researchers, these scholarships will recognize outstanding senior medical students who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing cancer research..
The Rogel Cancer Center encourages applications from students with diverse research interests that span the continuum from fundamental discovery science to clinical and population research. Students can self-nominate, and the characteristics and qualifications include the following:
A student who will begin their 4th year of medical school education in 2026.
Activities and interest in cancer research during their medical school career. This can include basic science research, clinical, translational, and/or cancer control and population sciences research.
Plans to pursue post-graduate training in a cancer-relevant discipline at the completion of their medical degree
Please note, students who currently hold a full scholarship regretfully cannot be considered for this award.
