The Emerging Cancer Scholar Exchange provides career development opportunities for early career cancer center faculty through invited presentations at peer institutions. Through this exchange, participating early career faculty will have the opportunity to develop relationships with potential research collaborators, mentors, sponsors, hone their oral presentation skills, and bolster their CVs.
Eligibility
Assistant Professor (generally, within the first five years of appointment)
Must be a member of the Rogel Cancer Center (Learn more..)
Pre-tenue application/pre-promotion
Individuals who are building a robust research portfolio, but are still pre-promotion
In the final years of building their CV for promotion, in year two or three of their K award, and/or those who have not yet submitted a promotion packet
Partnering institutions will each:
Host two visiting faculty for formal presentations
Select two internal faculty to travel and present at a partner institution (i.e. Grand Rounds or other seminar program)
In addition, applicants may choose to also be considered for a virtual exchange opportunity with additional partnering cancer centers.
